Avvocati.net (hereinafter also referred to as the Data Controller) provides the Data Subject or User, i.e. the person to whom the personal data refers, with the following information pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the GDPR), concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data. The purpose of this policy is to describe the characteristics of the processing carried out in relation to the personal data provided by the Data Subject and the measures taken to protect their rights.

This policy is published on the Avvocati.net website (https://avvocati.net/, hereinafter the Website), in the section dedicated to the cookie policy on the home page.

Regulatory framework and cookie management

In compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data (EU Regulation 679/2016, Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003, as amended by Legislative Decree No. 101/18, hereinafter referred to as the “Code”) and with reference to the Provision of the Data Protection Authority identifying simplified procedures for the disclosure and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014 (Published in the Official Gazette no. 126 of 3 June 2014) and the Guidelines issued by the Authority on 10 June 2021, which will take effect six months after their publication in the Official Gazette no. 163 of 9 July 2021, you can change or withdraw your consent to cookies at any time directly from this page using the links below “Change consent” and “Withdraw consent”.

In any case, the User can disable/delete cookies directly from their browser by following the procedure described in the section “How to disable/delete cookies by configuring your browser”.

The Data Controller will keep track of the User’s consent(s) through a special technical cookie, considered by the Privacy Guarantor to be a “not particularly invasive” tool. The User may refuse consent and/or change their options regarding the use of cookies by this Website at any time, as provided for in this policy.

Withdrawal of consent – deactivation of cookies – deletion

Consent given to install cookies can always be revoked, for all or only some of them.

Withdrawal of consent allows the Data Controller to manage the request by deactivating cookies.

The deactivation of cookies by the Data Controller concerns the relationship between the User and the Data Controller but does not also involve the uninstallation of those installed in the User’s browser.

To completely delete the cookies installed, the User must therefore proceed independently from their browser, following the instructions indicated in the section below “How to disable/delete cookies by configuring your browser”.

With regard to third-party cookies, in addition to revoking consent to the Data Controller, consent must also be revoked to the third party by requesting opt-out, or via the website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/le-tue-scelte

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent by the website to the user’s terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the website on the user’s next visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive, transmit computer viruses or acquire e-mail addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term ‘cookie’ refers to both cookies themselves and all similar technologies.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where ‘first-party’ refers to cookies that report the website as their domain, while ‘third-party’ refers to cookies that are related to external domains.

Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external entity, always defined as a ‘third party’, not managed by the website. These entities may also install first-party cookies, saving their own cookies on the website’s domain.

Nature of cookies

With regard to the nature of cookies, several types can be identified:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service”.

They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into:

navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); they are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the Website;

analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website, in order to improve the performance of the website;

functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (e.g. language) in order to improve the service provided to the user. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users (more information in the Cookie Management section below).

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the web.

These technologies do not collect users’ names, email addresses, telephone numbers or addresses.

The use of profiling cookies requires the consent of the data subject. According to the provision (more information in the Cookie Management section below), the user can authorise or deny consent to the installation of cookies through the options provided in the “Cookie Management” section.

In the case of third-party cookies, the website has no direct control over individual cookies and cannot control them (it cannot install them directly or delete them). However, you can manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below) or the websites listed in the “Cookie management” section.

The user is therefore invited to check the third-party website indicated in the table below

Cookies installed on this website

The table below lists the cookies (grouped logically by functionality or provider) present on this Site. Third-party cookies include a link to the privacy policy of the relevant external provider, where you can find a detailed description of the individual cookies and how they are processed.

Your consent applies to the following websites: ___________________________
